Media today is controversial  in many aspects and I will be exploring the many faces of that in today's society and climate. Media is a big part of everyone's day to day lives, influencing and informing the way people believe, think and act.

the week - website analysis

 The layout of the website is clean and uncluttered, with a plan white background. Synergy is created immediately with the masthead matching that of the magazine and in the same font,  all capitals and the same shade of red. On the left corner of the masthead is a menu icon with the word 'menu' underneath for clarity. Next to this is the search icon with a search bar On the right corner of the masthead is an image of the curent week's print ocver, next to two call to action buttons: ' subscribe and save' and 'give a gift' Underneath is an advertising gif taking up almost the width of the page. TASK 1: INDUSTRY: Research Dennis Publishing UK. Dear Moderator, my name is Francesca Western – Kaye Candidate No.1925, and welcome to my A Level Media Studies blog. This is a record of the work I have undertaken for the Making Media (Component 03/04) non-examined assessment (NEA) within the OCR H409 GCE A Level course in Media Studies. I worked independently  on Brief 3: magazine and online to produce one front cover and the contents page(s) of the first two editions of a new current affairs magazine that is being launched by Dennis and two pages for the working website for the magazine.
