Mock up of front covers and content pages


 This is a mock up of what i see my future magazine looking like and the colour scheme i imagine

 This will be the first addition: 20th october 2020:

( when editing- need to see how to place the headings on the front page as want to keep integraty of the image in the right way/ content page - dont know if black is too strong, may need to tone it down a few)



This will be the second addition: 20th November 2020:

( when editing - i wanted the contents page to be more of a cream colour - havent found the right shade yet/ need to do a few drafts of how headinging will look best on the main font space - dont leave lots of space - but if do make use of the space correctly)

the week - website analysis

Image
 The layout of the website is clean and uncluttered, with a plan white background. Synergy is created immediately with the masthead matching that of the magazine and in the same font,  all capitals and the same shade of red. On the left corner of the masthead is a menu icon with the word 'menu' underneath for clarity. Next to this is the search icon with a search bar On the right corner of the masthead is an image of the curent week's print ocver, next to two call to action buttons: ' subscribe and save' and 'give a gift' Underneath is an advertising gif taking up almost the width of the page. Note to moderator

Dear Moderator, my name is Francesca Western – Kaye Candidate No.1925, and welcome to my A Level Media Studies blog. This is a record of the work I have undertaken for the Making Media (Component 03/04) non-examined assessment (NEA) within the OCR H409 GCE A Level course in Media Studies. I worked independently  on Brief 3: magazine and online to produce one front cover and the contents page(s) of the first two editions of a new current affairs magazine that is being launched by Dennis and two pages for the working website for the magazine.
